The outdoor and big top shows continue abated in Cork for the rest of June with the unmistakable voice of alt-pop icon Alanis Morissette set to rage across Virgin Media Park on Wednesday evening a whole host of Live at the Marquee shows (Paul Weller, Christy Moore. For very different experiences check out experimental Gaeilgeoirí Trá Pháidín in The Savoy (Thursday); Swarmfest gathering #4 featuring Babyrat and more at The Pav (also Thursday); and Glasgow-based math-rock trio Taupe with Irish instrumental legends Ten Past Seven at The Savoy (Friday). Road-trippers looking to take advantage of the forecasted heatwave take a look at the West Goes West team-up between beloved West Cork venues Levis and Connolly’s who promise:

Amanda Shires brings her Streetlights and Stars European tour to Triskel Arts Centre on Saturday 6th, and if you've not caught her before, this is the one. Fiddle player, songwriter, force of nature — she's been one of the most compelling performers working in Americana for quite some time. The Heineken Green Light series launches a mini-takeover of the city across the weekend, with Men I Trust and Cliffords at the Savoy the standout show.
